Proper aerobic exercise plays an important role in losing weight successfully and keeping it off. Aerobic exercise offer numerous benefits the most obvious being that it helps you to burn fat and get into better shape when combined with a proper diet plan. Many people think that dieting alone can be sufficient in order to lose weight and stay fit however this is not true as in most cases you will need to take part in regular exercise that includes weight training and aerobic exercise in order to achieve long term weight loss. Tip 1: Maintain proper intensity
It is important that during your aerobic exercise sessions you maintain the right level of intensity - you want your heart rate to be in the 120 -140 beats per minute range for roughly 30 to 45 minutes and you should find yourself working up a half decent sweat by the end of your workout as that is a good sign that you got in an effective workout. Many people claim that the best time to do aerobic exercise is in the morning however the truth is that as long as you maintain proper intensity it really does not matter, obviously you want to make sure that you do not exercise right after a heavy meal as that might make you feel sick but if it is more convenient to exercise in the evening then go ahead and do not let the timing of it get in the way as it is not that critical.
Tip 2: Exercise the right frequency
It is easy to get over enthusiastic and end up trying to workout every day thinking that more exercise is better. The truth is that too much exercise can be bad for you and will weaken your immune system so be sure to train the right amount. For most people 3 to 4 aerobic workout sessions should be enough for them to get good results. It is definitely not necessary nor recommended to train every day as this is not an effective strategy and is a waste of time and energy. There are many things you can do to get a good workout including running, jogging or even a fast paced walk. It is often a good idea to join a gym as you will have access to a wide variety of fitness equipments.
However it can also be a good idea to get your own piece of fitness equipment for home use as this will make getting a good workout much more convenient.
